Be aware that if you increase the size of the drum, you may have to alter the lock to fit. and.Pull out the wiping stick (ramrod) and pour out the fluid, dry, and oil the bore. Lightly oil all the metal parts, and wipe down the wooden stock. Done. From time to time wipe the stock with something; linseed oil, furniture polish, Marvel Mystery Oil, whatever depending on the type of finish on your rifle stock.The Lancaster is a .45 caliber flintlock and is listed for $550. The Tennessee is .50 caliber percussion but the rifle comes with a new L&R Flintlock and would just need a vent hole amd me to convert it. Lastly the Thompson Center Hawken is .45 caliber and is $600. All these prices are high in my opinion.I start with potassium chlorate, sulfur and antimony trisulfide. Then I use a scale that has very fine measurement and also measures in pretty much all different units but I use grains. I start by measuring out 47 grains of the chlorate, 30 grains of the antimony and 21 grains of the sulfur and dump them together in a little glass dish.The trade musket is a .62 cal or 20 gauge smoothbore musket (flintlock). The trick was to pull the cotton balls apart a little bit so that they didn't fly very far. Lubed with a loose beeswax and tallow/olive oil lube they worked well.Put the breech in a bucket of water. Add some soap to aid cleaning especially if you use an oil or greasy patch lubricant. There is a screw in the side of the drum that can be removed to do the flash channel cleaning suggested by @tenngun. I'm not going to improve on the rest of tenngun's suggestions.Bore is excellent, shiny and new looking. Excellent fit and finish on this rifle.
